I Feel For You—Life as an Empath

I Feel for You

(This is one of a series of excerpted and updated Posts from my old, no longer active, blog A Glitch In Time. The original version of this appeared in May of 2014. This is the second time I have edited and updated it for publication. I find that each time, not only does it change a bit to echo the shifts in Self I have undergone, but to reflect the changing attitudes of popular culture regarding Spirituality. Though I wear many hats these days as business owner, website administrator, mother (grandmother) and homemaker, Who I Am outside of and over all else, is a Being on a Path of Seeking and sometimes discovery. While mundane aspects of daily life are necessary and often overshadow most other pursuits, my true Passion is somewhat larger. I made a commitment many years ago to Follow the Path of Heart, to serve All-That-Is and this…

Self Love or Self-Ishness

Self Care ~ Self Love

Integrating the Ideal of Selflessness with Self Love I really don’t know how we arrived at April 2019—already over a quarter of the way through another year . It certainly isn’t somewhere I set out to get to. (This is where I was going to make a lame joke about getting here ahead of Time, but I realized that the whole concept was too convoluted and stopped myself.  😉 ) Truth is, though, that this year, like its Sisters before it, is speeding by before I even have a chance to settle into it comfortably. I suppose the remainder of the year will be much the same. However, I take heart from the fact that I began 2019 from a far better Place than any of these past few years. I am still not where I want to be by a long shot, but I am ever so much more firmly…

The Contract

Contract With Fear

Early Morning Vision June 3rd 2018 A short and very intense vision upon awakening on this particular morning. I woke up knowing I didn’t have to get up just yet, and was not quite ready to face the day. Turning over on my other side (right–I typically sleep on my left side) pulled my knees up against my body and immediately began drifting somewhere between waking and sleep. There was some scattered imagery which had meaning to me at the time, but which I did not hold onto. The Vision At some point I became aware of a baby elephant moving across the field of my vision. That focused my attention somewhat and I became aware of a Dark Goddess (Kali/Durga I have since been made aware) writing feverishly on a pile of parchments. Though I do not believe she ever spoke, I Heard the words being written. At the…

Peace, Love and the Path to Enlightenment

Peace, Love and the Path to Enlightenment

Counting Blessings—What an Awful Life (Awful or Awe-Full?) During a recent meditation I was surprised to find myself reflecting on the word Awful (Awe Full). Like so many words we use without ever really thinking about them, this word originally had a very different definition. The archaic definition: Inspiring reverential wonder or fear… Synonyms: awe-inspiring, awesome, impressive; dread, fearful.   Somewhere along the line, the balance tipped and a word that began as being “filled with Awe” or Wonder became swallowed up by the Fear. Its connotations became almost universally negative.  As I considered the word twisting around in my consciousness, I determined that my life is indeed Awful these days. I am, as always, filled with Awe at the magnificence of the Creation we live within. Sadly, too often I am filled with fear and dread at the directions I so often see it going. To progress on any Spiritual Path, one…

Looking Back—Moving Forward

Early morning looking across the pasture out front toward imminent sunrise.

A Brand New Day Morning has broken, like the first morning Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning  Praise for the springing fresh from the word  Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens on the album Teaser and the Firecat releasd in 1971 I recently realized that I’ve been blogging for eight years as of January 2021. My first attempts at this medium having been on a Blogger Blog called A Glitch in Time  (Taken down several years ago). These have been busy eventful years, and the time has flown.  While that original blog covered all aspects of life— home, family, gardening, cooking, and my own roots, I often ventured into the territory of my Spiritual Path as well. For as many years as I can remember, this esoteric pursuit was the wellspring of my being. So, with the inception of UnSeeyn Reality, it is my intent…
